Accra gets new logo

The Mayor of Accra Dr Alfred Vanderpuye has unveiled a new logo for the national capital as part of efforts to re-brand the city.

The
logo is made up three colours – red, gold and green with a black star. It embodies the aspirations of the city's residents, according to the Public Relations Specialist of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), Mr Charles Nii Ayiko.

The logo also has an inscription underneath which reads: 'Live in & Love it'.

Speaking to Joy News Friday, Mr Ayiko said a survey conducted by the AMA informed them to re-brand the national capital as a place where people could live, love and contribute towards a better and quality life.
